Heart 2 Heart

Heart 2 Heart is a support group for people who have had heart problems and their partners/carers. Launched in 1998 by the British Heart Foundation and the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service it is an open group with an ecletic mix of personalities, skills, experiences and has the determination to clearly demonstrate that an individual, following a heart attack, heart surgery of the onset of angina, can live a rich, full and enjoyable life. It also recognises the trauma experience by the parter/family of the patient and therefore includes and supports them also. H2H applied to HeartWell for funds to create a virtual office. This will enable H2H to collate information and distribute it more rapidly and efficiently to a wider audience of members. In addition they have produced a promotional DVD & brochure for use within the hospital and the community. This will have a significant impact in engaging with people in the community and the H2H members, who are currently leading sedentary lives, by enabling more people to access information and the positive work of H2H.
